Personal message from Genrose

White tulips field for Genrose Campasas' welcome message

It is particularly interesting to see how God has allowed humanity to reach as far as the discovery of technology, giving us the luxury of being able to connect with just a few clicks from different parts of the globe. And as I write this, I cannot help but glory in God for all that He is, for all He has done from the beginning, and for all that He will do in the time to come. Meanwhile, I consider it a great privilege to be able to reach out to you, dear reader, and hopefully be used by our Maker in whatever way He pleases to impart something to you. As I say in my testimony page, I believe it is God's will to bring you here, and I pray that you think the same. In any case, may He be glorified.

Before you begin reading my writings, I would like to share the convictions behind this blog. You see, there are plenty of excellent Christian blogs that God has blessed us with through the years, written by faithful men and women of His Word. Mine should be considered the thoughts of a novice—just a young sojourner still learning from elders. That said, this blog is primarily intended for my fellow younger travelers (both in age and in faith), especially for young ladies. Others of the same age may also find it helpful. Ultimately, those older than I am in age or faith are warmly welcome. After all, the Lord uses each of our lives in countless ways to accomplish His good purposes.

One of the main reasons I began this blog is because I want it to serve as a constant reminder to myself, especially for the days when I may not feel the truths I write. These entries are not merely for others—they are for me, too. Aside from being introverted and finding writing more natural, I also long to express my devotion to biblical womanhood and to set an example for younger women. At the same time, I desire to reflect on practical matters in the Christian life—not to overstep the authority of our faithful men of God, but to share what I am learning. My thoughts on motherhood, wifehood, or parenthood come from the vantage point of a single woman. While I base them on Scripture, I recognize there is a different wisdom that can only be gained by walking in those shoes. So I take this as an opportunity to learn from our Christian wives, mothers, and parents as well. I pray this blog may help us edify one another toward Christlikeness—for God’s glory.

If you have not done so, I urge you to make the Bible your final authority. It is breathed out by God and is sufficient for your walk unto glory (2 Tim. 3:16–17). It has everything you need. My blog is only a sideline—your primary task is to search the Scriptures. Please compare my writings with the Bible as you read, because although I strive for biblical accuracy, I may err, and it is possible you may not notice it either. This humbles us both before our Savior, and reminds us why we constantly ask for wisdom: “For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Prov. 2:6).

Please also do not substitute this blog for your local church. The local body is where believers are most nurtured, because much of our Christian life involves service and submission to the church. Online content must always come second. After all, your online brothers and sisters likely have local churches of their own—and you have another God-given priority—your family at home.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." —Rom. 15:13

In love,

Gen
